Creating Emerald
I have created a puppy from a cereal box. My inspiration for my puppy is the black and white puppy in the photo.
With a lot of sellotape, glue, cutting, painting, and Whaea June’s help I created my puppy, Emerald. I love her so much, especially her collar. Her collar is just gems glued to a thin piece of cardboard. I really enjoyed making her.
Talking to Nanny
Today I had to fill in my task for reading and read the book ‘Talking to Nanny’. I enjoyed reading this book. I use all of these expressions almost every day.
Today in Room 5 Gypsy and I made a poi. We used braided leather, paper, sellotape, wool, and scissors. We did this activity for Te Wiki o te Reo Maori. I really enjoyed doing this activity.
In term 1 we had to do a Sunglasses self-portrait. I had to do this Self-portrait for Art. My favourite part was colouring it in. To improve I could have changed my background colours to one colour instead of two.
This week I finished my ‘Show, Don’t Tell.’ writing. We had to describe something we saw, heard, felt, tasted and smelt. The reader has to try and guess what I am describing. Kia Ora, my name is Taina. I am a Year 6 student at Ahipara School. I’m in Room 5 and my kaiako is Whaea Ange. Here is a snapshot of things I like:
Foods – Cupcakes, pizza, KFC and McDonalds.
Sports – trampoling.
Animals – Dogs and Puppies.
TV Shows – Simpsons, Home and Away and Shortland Street.
Game – Tag
Song – We don’t talk about Bruno.
Movie – Enchanto and Bruno
My favourite subject is swimming. One place that I have been that I love is Rainbows End. Two things I am good at are colouring and showing respect.
